This award-winning shawl design features the classic beauty of crocheted pineapples and is finished off with extra-long fringe. This is a shawl that you will love wearing for an evening out or more casual strolls.
I’m sure than most people could tackle this project, even beginners, as long as you take a bit of extra care in following the pattern and directions. Your hard work and determination will pay off in the end! I think this shawl would look stunning in a shimmery white or black. Perfect accessory for a night out!

Shawl measures 196 cm [77”] wide (across top edge) x 86 cm [34”] long (not including fringe).
TENSION/GAUGE: 1 pattern repeat = 24 cm [9½”]. One pattern repeat consists of a pineapple pattern at its widest and the surrounding ch-spaces and shells. Gauge is not critical for this project. CHECK YOUR TENSION/GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the tension/ gauge.
In looking at the pattern it really doesn’t seem like a difficult pattern to work up, you would just have to mindful of keeping your place and marking you piece and your pattern as you go. We all know how that is when you suddenly have to get up and go to the bathroom, then lose your place. I think this project would be worth the slight extra effort. The sidewalk gray is spot on, too.
