Chocolate Walnut Muffins
Today Chocoholics get their money’s worth! Because there are chocolate-walnut muffins! These sweet little treats are definitely one of my favourite sweets 😀
Chocolate is an absolute comfort to the soul. Whether I’m in a bad mood, in a good mood or just like that, as soon as chocolate lands in my mouth, my eyes light up and I’m in the chocolate sky. Then I forget everything around me for a moment 😀
And if my favourite nut, the walnut, joins in, then…yes then it happened to me! Chocolate and walnuts are a total dream combination for me.
These chocolate walnut muffins are also reminiscent of brownies. They have a slightly crispy crust on the outside and are juicy and soft on the inside. The walnuts provide some bite.
The dough is stirred together in an instant and the baking time is also very short at 20 minutes. This means that if you have an acute hunger for chocolate, you can quickly find a remedy.
Ingredients (6 pieces)
- 75 g dark chocolate
- 75 g butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg (size L)
- 75 g sugar
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- 100 g flour
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 50 g walnuts (coarsely chopped)
Bring the oven to 180°C. Grease the muffin tray or line it with paper moulds.
Coarsely chop the chocolate. Melt with butter and 1 pinch of salt over a warm water bath.
Beat sugar, vanilla sugar and egg in a bowl until foamy. Stir in the butter-chocolate mixture.
Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder, add and stir until smooth. Finally add the walnuts.
Pour the dough into the muffin bowls and bake the muffins on the middle shelf for about 20-25 minutes.
After the baking time, take them out, leave them in the tin for 10 minutes, then turn them over and let them cool on a cake rack.
I now hide under the blanket with a chocolate-walnut muffin and let the weather pass me by out there 😉
